See, I Told You So.

I knew I was taking a gamble by defending Pastor Wright a few weeks ago. I knew that until I saw the video, I wouldn’t have an informed opinion or a solid defense of the man. I also knew that Obama is a reasonable, intelligent man. I know that when people preach messages of hate, the few listen, not the many.

I knew what would happen. It’s what usually happens: I was right.

It also proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the blatant bias, divisiveness and lies of the Fox News Network and any Rupert Murdoch production. It proves my accusations of knee-jerk nationalism by the Right as well as the absurdity of their hateful, uninformed views. Since these videos have been around for at least a week and so-called Conservatives are still preaching the same old lie, it proves my point about their self-imposed, willful ignorance and closed-mindedness.

America’s chickens may be coming home to roost, but my ducks are neatly in a row. I can’t help but say it: I told you so.

Thanks to Grandma’s Attic for alerting me to the existence of these videos on YouTube. I’ll embed these videos within this blog, knowing they’ll probably not be viewed and even if they are, most Conservatives will stubbornly refuse to accept defeat and resort to straw-man arguments, ad hominem and hairsplitting to defend their ignorance. Chances are, I’m right about that too.

Enjoy:

Nice trick he pulls there. Fooled you too, I guess.

I hope his oppressed ass enjoys the $1.6m house the church is building for him and the $10m line of credit they set up for him.

lol, yes, because he made these sermons–prior to any kind of controversy involving them–as a way to fool people. So what if the church builds him a house? Ever stop to think it was to honor him? In Chicago, a million bucks doesn’t go a long way like it does here. Have you ever even been to Chicago, or were you too afraid of the chance you might step outside and run into a liberal? Have you SEEN their prices? I’ve seen a house that wouldn’t sell for $50,000 in the South End going for $350,000 because it was in the greater metropolitan area.

Seriously, Von. Try getting out of your parents basement every once in awhile. It’ll be good for you.

Besides, it’s not like the guy is going to serve his church all these years and then make it on social security. Or, maybe the guy is worth that much. Maybe he has the 10m line of credit because he’s good for it. I don’t know, just like you don’t know, but your speculation seems to be a one way street: he’s crooked. Even after being blatantly proven wrong, you dumbass Conservatives don’t even budge, yet wonder why we laugh at you. I take it you didn’t watch the clips, either.

Sort of proves the saying, doesn’t it? “There are only two kinds of Republicans: millionaires and suckers.” Remember that whole Rush Limbaugh “Substance over Symbolism” garbage he preaches but doesn’t follow? Seems his worshipers do the same thing. You respond to posts about issues that are proven to be little more than a tabloid-quality scoop, yet ignore important ones. Respond to “Yay China!” and we’ll talk.

My parents are dead. I have my own basement.

  4. postsimian Says:

Flop, flop… flop *deadfish*. My bad.

  5. vonster Says:

And I don’t really have the time to read your novels. Brevity, my friend.

  6. postsimian Says:

If you don’t have time to read it, don’t bother responding to it. I don’t have the time to respond to dumbass remarks by know-it-alls who read the first few lines and form an opinion.

  7. vonster Says:

    Yes you do.

  8. Casual Observer Says:

He has a point. Some of your replies are just as long as the blog itself. :p

    Just a small observation.

  9. postsimian Says:

    Haha, fair enough.

Vonster, I make replies in hopes that it’ll lead to some kind of dialogue, not one-liners and quips. Meaningful conversation. Maybe someday we’ll get somewhere, you and I.

BTW, Rev J Wright’s new house is in a GATED COMMUNITY.

  11. postsimian Says:

It’s to keep the black people out of his lawn, right Von?

  12. vonster Says:

    Make you wonder, eh?

  13. vonster Says:

Maybe he just wants to live with the Rich…..White….PEOPLE!!!!!

Thanks for posting those. I don’t go to church…but I’d go to his, and I wouldn’t bat an eye at a single thing he said in those videos. ‘Bout damn time somebody at the pulpit spoke the truth.
