We knew it would happen sooner or later…
It was only a matter of time. Remember when the press got all hot and bothered over Hillary Clinton for half an inch of mushy old-lady cleavage? Behold:

Remember, it’s always about appearance and never about policy issues or substance. God’s the inanity.

Why is this “breaking news”? These guys should see what *I* wear to work on a daily basis.
May 9th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Pillsbury Doughboy pajama pants and a hoodie? Ha.
Jimi - seems to be the case. Remember when they used to report on issues, way back at the beginning? Like Clinton’s initial support of Elliot Spitzer’s plan to give illegal aliens a driver’s license under the embarrassing logic that due to statistics showing a high rate of unlicensed illegals causing traffic accidents, the way to solve the problem was to give them drivers licenses. DUMB.
Apparently Obama’s pants and Clinton’s boobs are more important.

I think back to when LBJ was showing off his beagle dog and he hauled the dog up by his ears so the camera could get a good shot of him. The press was all in a dither for a couple days about that poor dog’s ears and then they would cut to the developing war in Vietnam. I wasn’t very old then, but old enough to see the disconnect. It hasn’t connected after all these years either.

Quote of the Day:
“I’ve been in 57 states, (with) I think one left to go.”
May 12th, 2008 at 9:35 am
Being a Bush supporter, you’ve got no room to even think about talking. Lordy, where shall we begin?
Quote of the Decade: “Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”
May 12th, 2008 at 10:10 am
I’ve got ALL the room to talk. Sauce for the goose, sir. The new 57 star flag pins are already in production.
God DAMN America in 08!

Do you REALLY want to go down this path? Your ammunition is misspeaking and a quote from a disowned pastor? Son, if that’s the way the game is played, I have a veritable Fort Knox worth of dumb quotes and shady associations for both Bush AND McCain. Again, are we really doing this?
Your only hope is sticking to the issues this time around.

Priceless.
However, a more appropriate thing for Republicans to wear can be found here.
May 12th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Bush is know to regularly mis-speak. Barry is not. Maybe this means something…mmmm? I can’t imagine making that mistake, myself.
Remember the Quayle “potatoe” flap? I’ve heard numerous times that the card the teacher gave Qualyle said “potatoe”. Set up?
May 12th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
Yeah, I can’t imagine doing it either. Thing is, for the amount of things Ol’ Barry has said, the occasional blunder every now and then is admissible. GWB is an uninterrupted chain of blunders, yet to be broken. Big difference.
The Dan Quayle thing though: can we all get over it? He misspelled potato. Is this something that really deserves its own conspiracy theory? On one hand, it’s funny to say,”haha, what a dumbass!” On the other hand, you have different fingers.
May 12th, 2008 at 2:06 pm
As you know, the press and Democrats in generally milked the Qualyle thing for all it was worth - even though the teacher hand Qualyle a card that said “potatoe”.
Today, the fault is all Barry’s yet the media silence is deafening.
Like I said - sauce for the goose.
May 12th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Besides, if had made a Freudian slip, he would have said something like 10 or maybe 20 states because we KNOW the rest don’t count to Democrats. ;-)
May 12th, 2008 at 3:01 pm
Wait a minute–he had to be given a card? Bahaha, that’s even worse!
The press milks everything. “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” Need anyone say more?
Anyway, 10 or 20 states? That’s more than matters to the GOP. They’re not shy about selling ALL of us up the river.

Aw geez….. [sigh]

On another subject - the WaPo article is headlined “Racist Incidents Give Some Obama Campaigners Pause”. Since we only have the word of a few Obama campaign workers, shouldn’t that have said “alleged”? Or, since there’s no corroboration, should it have appeared at all? Is WaPo part of the problem?
May 13th, 2008 at 11:51 am
So… why has this article raised your ire? I mean, is there some point in arguing against it?
Either way, thank you for alerting me to this article. But for future reference, maybe instead of pretending racism doesn’t exist, you Righties could help by addressing and condemning it.

way to duck!
