Republicans are Assholes.

Not all of them, just most of ‘em.  Case in point:

Tonight I was minding my own business picking up dinner.  I happened to be wearing my Obama/Biden ‘08 shirt.  When I entered the place, the first thing I hear is some pretentious shitbrick CEO-wannabe-looking private college business major dropout saying,”Oh God, an Obama supporter.”

Shitbrick then went on talking shit–at points repeating Rush Limbaugh verbatim–the entire time I was picking up my order.  I’ll bet the boyfriend his wife doesn’t know about was proud.

Really, I guess this post is more dedicated to my new favorite tool, Shitbrick:

Dear Shitbrick,

Damn those liberals and their high taxes!  You’re absolutely right:  those of us making six or more figures a year ought to be bitching about taxes.  As anyone can tell, we make more money than 80-90 percent of the population, which means we need it more than those who support our excessive, irresponsible lifestyles.

I mean, jeez, can you believe there are people out there who don’t play golf with the CEO for a living?  Why should our taxes go to support them?  It’s their own damn faults they’re poor anyway, because as logic dictates (and a fact everyone instinctively knows anyway) everybody on the planet can be millionaires like us.  All they have to do is vote Republican and be free market, trickle-down capitalists.   So when they get it through their stupid, poor heads that all they have to do is give more money to us rightfully rich people, they’ll become rich too.  If they can’t, it’s their own fault.  That’s just simple economics.

By the way, how many houses do you own?  Ever come home drunk after screwing your secretary and forget which one you’re in?  It’s not a big deal, I’m sure every trust fund baby has that problem.  Oh well, keep on ruling the world, you’re doing a great job at it.

Sieg Heil, brother!

LOL They’re just running scared because they know the rest of us have had it with the way the country has been destroyed by Rovian/Bush politics. And then McViagra picks a woman whose only qualifications were the fact that she is a Gov. of and she’s a woman. Normal women are truly disgusted with the fact that he is using her solely to win the election and placing her in a position she has no business being in. A journalism major and gov of a state with more moose than people (I’d say polar bears, but she cares more about oil revenue than the environment, so their numbers have dwindled) and he’s asking her to do battle with Biden. Sweet Justice at last!

It took out my insert of [ pick any state ] after ‘Gov. of’

Yeah, I said the same thing over at the pundit a bit ago, while I was expressing my pathos for the GOP.

Y’know, I hope nobody thinks I’m being anti-gay with my “boyfriend” comment. It’s just so funny using it on Republicans. You can almost hear their tiny little brains exploding.

I admit that there were times were I got chilly looks for wearing my Obama shirt, but mostly that was in Dallas, Texas suburbs.

Even in Oklahoma City I didn’t have a problem.

When I did a 30K footrace in Austin, TX in my Obama shirt, it was a complete love-fest. :)

What is interesting is reading what my Republican trolls have to say; I didn’t know that there were so many Vonsters out there.

I don’t mind some Republicans (e. g., Dr. Andy, who at least is embarrassed at how the Republicans pander to the creationists) but others….well….I don’t know what to say. :)

This guy was one of those snobby, belligerent country club assholes, the real-life version of an Republican internet troll. What I wouldn’t give for a crowbar and dark alley some days.

  7. Raising my kids Right Says:

Exactly what would you do with a crowbar in a dark alley? Hell, you were face to face with this person and you didn’t have the stones to even SAY anything to him!

  8. postsimian Says:

Yes, yes I did. The exchange is what inspired the letter. The force is not strong with you today.

What I should have said was “Wow. It’s a Republican in an expensive restaurant being an asshole. Congratulations on being a stereotype.”

  9. ollie Says:

Hmmm, sometimes the answer IS silent contempt “oh, Limbaugh listener, eh” and leave it at that.

If the person is polite, I can have a polite conversation “oh, why do you believe that?” and then give them some verifiable facts to check.

Nice homophobic shot. You liberals are SO tolerant…

I don’t need to defend my tolerance credentials (they speak for themselves) but I will say I don’t see it as an insult. That’s the beauty of it: only rabidly-right Republicans seem to be offended by it. This makes it exceedingly fun to use on them. :D

  12. ollie Says:

Dr. Andy: are you forgetting Larry “wide stance” Craig and David Vitter’s support of the family marriage amendment?

Sorry, but we are, ahem, *entitled* to a chuckle at such rampant displays of hypocrisy. ;)

I guess I just get agravated that EVERY effin conservative out there always has something snarky, backhanded, and snobbish to say to anyone who supports the democratic party. And then…when you defend yourself (like on this here blog, for instance) all the republicans take issue with what YOU say in retaliation. It’s like a constant stream of sour grapes coming from that side of politics. UGH. I am SO sick of hearing the republicans say and say and say and say and say (oops…sorry…my record must be broken…I MUST be a republican now) Over and over and over and over again that people who are liberal are wrong…about EVERYTHING. They don’t even begin to try to see your side of it…ever. And even when a democrat is PROVEN FACTUALLY RIGHT…doesn’t matter…They are STILL wrong to the cons.

As far as I am concerned… the negative (political) commenters on this blog and all other blogs that I read need to grow up and realize that no matter how much money you make, or how much of a conservative you believe yourself to be you are NOT always right. And, for that matter neither is every single view of the democratic party.

Jeez…really people…if you don’t like the views expressed on a democratic leaning blog, the why the $#@* do you read it?????

And before anyone mouths off to me in retaliation…I am not a democrat, OR a republican. I’m an independent…and there are more and more of us growing out there in numbers every day. So, if I were you- conservatives, I would make nice…because some of us may eventually decide to put your candidate in the white house.

(Not ME, per’se this particular term…but who knows what the future holds)

I’m writing in my candidate this year…

So, Sim…I wish you had met that pretentious little weenie in a dark alley…cause if he can’t keep his negativity to himself, he deserves a beat down, and I would have liked to have seen it myself.

    PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guy makes comments about Obama supporters in the check out line. You make comments and directly insulting statements about Republicans on your blog. What’s the difference other than venue?

People make a conscious decision to read my blog, whereas this guy harasses people in public. Not much gray area on this one.
