Ha that’s a classic. I was sticking with “this election is the great American IQ test” (author unknown) but this is even better!!

And what did Ronaldus Magnus do for dumbasses? Lower their taxes? Encourage a free market economy to grow and generate jobs for them? Defeat the enemy that threatened their livelihood and civilization?
No, Obama will not do any of those things for anyone.
October 6th, 2008 at 8:13 am
None of the above: he legitimized them.

Certainly Obama will try to legitimize the culture of entitlement that continues to devour the productive soul of this country.

The kind of entitlement that harasses you in a restaurant complaining about our historically low tax rate for the upper class while blaming democrats that they’re so “high”? Yeah, I think that already has a voice, and that voice is a real asshole.

It is fun watching the Republican party slip into xenophobic and anti-intellectual irrelevance.
I look forward to dancing on their political grave this fall! :)

Has anyone seen the t-shirt with the picture of the Cubs emblem and Obama side-by-side with the words “October” and “November” under them? It made me smirk a little. Only a little because I’m still so pissed at the Cubs for their October choke job.

I just wanted to answer three of idiotnotknowme’s questions:
1. Ronald Reagan RAISED taxes 7 times in his 8 year reign of hell.
2. We see the effects of a deregulated free-market economy right now, and it’s not frickin’ pretty.
3. Russia? Threaten our “livelihood” and “civilization”? Not quite. And further, 40 years of presidents and congresses and military leaders BEFORE Ronnie stepped into office ALL had a hand in bringing down communism, although it did just as much to itself as we ever did to it. But you go ahead and give Ronnie boy all the credit. He was simply in the right place at the right time, nothing more.

BJ: I never liked Reagan. But the book “Role of a Lifetime” helped me understand him in a way that I never had previously.
For some reason, he connected to millions of people; he just knew how to do that. I still don’t get it, but that isn’t important.

Ollie, he’s simply the most overrated President in history. Honest assessments 100 years from now will rate him near the bottom, IMO, with Dubya right there with him.
Reagan couldn’t hold Nixon’s jockstrap, to use a sports analogy.
