Another Victim
Remember what George Carlin said about words becoming needlessly complex? He used “shell shock” as an example, then followed its evolution to the point of “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”
Well, you wouldn’t believe what they’re calling towels these days:
This was taken with a cell phone camera in low light, so it’s a bit fuzzy. The text reads “Dry Fast System.” That was on a tag for a towel.
It could have said “SAHARA by CANNON: Towel.” But no. It’s not a towel. It’s a Dry Fast System. Don’t you see that? Jeez, get with it.

Actually “Dry Fast System” is a specific way of making the towel, not a replacement for the word towel. It is in fact patented.
Do a search on “dry fast system” cannon

Where I come from, there’s a word for this: relief.
